Butterfly and Flowers Cake

This one was for my mum, it was the first time I handpainted onto a cake, I think I need to practice this technique a little more...still tasted nice though...

Fishing Themed Birthday Cake

My Dad's birthday was coming and one thing he loves doing is fishing, however he hasn't been getting out as much as he should be, so I thought I would give him a gentle reminder with this cake to get out there again....

BB8 Themed Cake

This cake was a special BB8 cake for my nephew out from O/S. He had his birthday out here and looovves BB8 from Star Wars. There is also a video below of this cake actually moving, you could spin his body so it looked like he was rolling along the desert and I just had to throw Darth Vadar and Yoda in there...because you know it just wouldn't be a self respecting Star Wars cake without it.

Camping Themed Cupcakes

A friend from work was having her 40th birthday coming up and she had really wanted to go camping and was unable to do so. I thought it would be nice to bring the camping to her with these camping themed cupcakes instead.

Welcome Home Cake

Mum travelled abroad to welcome a new addition to the family O/S and was sorely missed by everyone back at home, so we thought it would be nice to welcome her back home to the land down under with this Aussie themed cake.

Lizard Cake

My nephew was having his birthday and really liked lizards and told us that he wanted a lizard on some rocks, I really love doing cakes but really enjoyed doing this one which was actually pretty easy in the end due to its simplistic design...

Lego Cake

So my sister asked me to make two cakes for my nephew, one for his birthday party and one for him to take to childcare..she said the one for childcare didn't need to be anything special....hmmm no nephew of mine is going to get a bland cake so I had decided to try out some new fondant moulds I had and made this lego cake, I wasn't there when he got the cake but can imagine he was very pleased he could actually eat some lego.

Turtle Cake

For my little gents 1st birthday he was really into turtles and said he wanted one so rather than giving him one for real, I thought I would oblige by giving him a cake one and a couple of fishies for the turtle to play with....

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Cake

This one was for my nephew, he wanted the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse which I also made some of the characters out of fondant to go with it. I remember one of our friends was asking about the cake and thought it was quite artistic not realising that this is actually what the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse looks like (just missing the blue slide) and isn't Picasso inspired interpretation.

Strawberry Shortcake Themed Cake

This was my girls 5th birthday cake, it took me back as she was really into the TV Show Strawberry Shortcake at the time, which I also loved when I was little, I wanted to recreate that for her in this cake, have to admit carving the cake in the shape of the strawberry was a little challenging.

Fairy Toadstool Cake

This cake was for my little girl and is a fairy sitting atop of a toadstool. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo and we were rushing out the door to get to her party so I could only take a last minute photo when it was in the box but trust me there is a toadstool underneath...although think I could have done a better job with the internal infrastructure as it started sinking after awhile.. remember ladies and gents to use your dowels (thinks that stick up inside your cake to help it stay together and not move around).

Santa Cupcakes

These were some cute little cupcakes for my little ones childcare at Christmas time, some were vanilla and chocolate..hopefully they look like Santa's legs, I got a few wisecracks from hubby about these ones...but of course he still ate one or two or three.
